In Star City, Green Arrow and his team bring Vixen to live action to continue the fight against Damian Darhk. This is where superpowers officially enter Arrow's universe, and the year ends rather appropriately with a shot of Barry Allen as he's mysteriously struck by lightning. Investigating news of a man with superhuman strength, Barry accidentally joined Team Arrow as they fought Cyrus Gold, a criminal empowered by Mirakuru, a super-soldier serum that grants both super-strength and super-insanity. Oliver helped her escape the group, and she became a regular member of his crime-fighting team.Įverything changed, however, when a forensic scientist named Barry Allen came to Starling City in search of the impossible. Believed to have died when The Queen's Gambit sank, Sara had actually escaped and joined the infamous League of Assassins. It would give the Legends a pretty unique stance as the season goes on, with them both trying to resolve anachronisms while housing their own anachronism on board.įans will just have to wait and see if Amaya does end up being pregnant, but it's safe to say it would create a pretty fascinating storyline. As The Arrow patrols Starling City's broken streets, Oliver's network of allies grows to include the likes of Amanda Waller's Suicide Squad and a young man named Roy Harper, but nothing could prepare Oliver for his most shocking new ally: Sara Lance, aka The Canary. And Nate would have his own personal motivations because of the child too, considering his previously-explored issues with his father.Īnd going back to that 'child out of the timeline' thing - how would the Legends be able to handle that? Given the Time Bureau's watchful eye - as well as the threat posted by new villain Mallus - there would be plenty of people on the hunt for that baby. Considering Amaya's unique place in the Arrowverse timeline - with her being the ancestor of two prominent present-day characters - having another child completely out of that timeline would certainly complicate things. It's safe to assume (given the timeline of events) that Nate would be the father, sending them both on a pretty prolific arc for the remainder of the season. But if Amaya is pregnant, it would open a fascinating can of worms for the entire Legends team. The context clues certainly seem to be in place, but they could very easily be some sort of misdirect as well. Could these "mama bear" tendencies be a sign that Amaya is pregnant? And what would it mean for the show going forward?Īs of now, it's a little too early to tell whether or not Amaya is pregnant. That (combined with the heartbeat that can be heard when Nate is giving Amaya an inspirational speech) got us thinking. As she revealed at the end of the episode, these outbursts had begun happening a month befoe, and had previously caused her to massacre a group of soldiers that came to attack Zambezi. Amaya seemed to ask Sara to keep a secret from Nate, and then began losing control of her powers (when Nate is threatened, nonetheless) in the third act. Barnum's circus, but something felt.different. Six months later, Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz) enlisted Amaya in another mission, and found her guarding her village of Zambezi.Īmaya joined the team on their quest to fix P.T. After Nate left to grab food, Amaya saw a news report about her granddaughter Mari McCabe (Megalyn Echikunwoke) fighting crime in Detroit.Īmaya quickly left to find Mari, before being transported back to the 1940s by Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill). Tonight's episode opened with Amaya Jiwe/Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Nate Heywood/Steel (Nick Zano) celebrating Nate's birthday in his apartment. Spoilers for tonight's episode of Legends of Tomorrow, 'Freakshow', below. One Legends of Tomorrow member returned tonight - and she may have brought a pretty big bombshell along with her.
